There are people who make a loaf of bread now and then. And then there are people who have a sourdough starter with a name, a feeding routine and quite possibly a better social life than the rest of us.

This personalised sourdough notebook is very much for those people.

Featuring illustrations of lovely artisan sourdough loaves across the cover, it's a place to record all those recipes, experiments, proving times and tiny adjustments that make the difference between a reasonable loaf and one you're photographing from six different angles.

You can personalise the front with absolutely any wording you like. Add a name, an in-joke, a bread-related boast or something completely ridiculous. "Dave's Dough Bragging Book" is a particularly fine example, if we do say so ourselves.

Lovely on the outside. Just as good on the inside.

These notebooks are made exclusively for Betsy Benn, and we've put plenty of thought into the details.

The soft vegan leather cover feels wonderful to hold, while inside you'll find 160 pages of lightly lined, medium-weight ivory paper. It's 100gsm, so all sorts of pens and inks work beautifully on it. Whether you're carefully recording a new recipe or scribbling down what went wrong with Tuesday's loaf.

The page edges are dyed to match or complement the colourful covers, and there are two matching ribbon markers. One for the recipe you're working on, and one for the one you're definitely going to try next weekend.

They're genuinely lovely notebooks to write in. The sort that makes you look forward to putting pen to paper.

Choose from our range of colours, from bright orange and hot pink to rich burgundy, dark green and softer shades of lilac and grey.

Make it personal

Your wording is engraved directly onto the front cover, so you can make this notebook as sensible or as silly as you like.

Just check your spelling carefully when ordering. We engrave exactly what you type into the personalisation box, and once it's done, we can't change it.

A rather lovely personalised gift for a sourdough enthusiast, a keen home baker or the friend who keeps arriving with another loaf and expecting everyone to admire the crust.

(Which, obviously, we will.)

FAQs

We make almost everything in house, so if something needs a little tweak to make it extra personal for your person then just ask. If we can do it we will let you know! There may be a small charge depending on how big the change is.

Yes, we can gift wrap all our notebooks and diaries. You can select that option at checkout. We don’t gift wrap our rolled prints, but they do come in beautiful tissue paper. We also can’t wrap our framed prints as they are sent direct from the framer. If you have an extra special request then just get in touch and we’ll see if we can help.

Absolutely. We love helping to surprise your loved ones with a gift in the post! Just pop their name and address in the delivery section at checkout and don’t forget to include a gift message so they know who it’s from. We will make sure they don’t see the price on the paperwork.

Oh, we know this feeling. Express is available on most of our products so you can upgrade to a faster delivery service. The make time for each product is also displayed in the sections above. But if it’s super urgent, you can always drop us an extra email to Catherine@betsybenn.co.uk to let us know. Please note we don’t work or post anything on Fridays.

A Design for Every Story: That’s our tagline.

We have a deep love of good typography and design and when you tell us your story, one of our talented graphic designers will recreate it for you into one of our bespoke designs, manually adjusting here and tweaking there to get it looking absolutely perfect.
