With our tactile personalised velvet maps you can choose the exact location, anywhere in the world, for us to centre on. It could be your own home or your childhood home where Mum still lives and where there is always a fresh cup of tea and a hug when you need one!

For beautiful simplicity we have removed all place names from our maps, leaving you with just the major and minor roads and rivers to create a modern artwork of your favourite place. You can choose to add a label at the bottom and that could be the place name, or just "our favourite place; Home". It's entirely up to you.

Choose from a variety of gorgeous shades to suit your decor. As all our maps are created in velvet, the design will be more or less striking in different lights and depend on the nap of the fabric. We have carefully chosen shades of velvet to show the intricate details to their best and will always smooth the velvet before we start.

Your personalised map is framed in a wooden embroidery hoop and sent to you in a white gift box, perfect to give immediately as the best gift ever invented!

These unique maps are made by Betsy Benn in our small studio in Cheltenham from luxurious velvet fabric and a pale wooden embroidery hoop. The hoop is strung with white satin ribbon to make it ready to hang on your wall, but you can easily replace that with a ribbon of your own if you like.

Specialising in gifts that are just right for your favourite humans, Betsy Benn is based in the gorgeous Cotswolds, where we enjoy being surrounded by tea, cake, and innovative designs. Founded in 2010 by Betsy herself, we’re now a small, passionate, all-female team who love coming into work every day.

All of our products are created in house and are made to order. For items that do not require proofing, we aim to post within 1-2 days of you placing your order. Items that require a proof will take a little longer and we will only post once you are completely happy with the design. If you have ordered a framed print or a canvas, then this will add around a week to the whole process.

If you have a date that you need something by, please let us know and we'll do our best to meet your requirements.

  • Standard delivery is £2.75 and free to all postcodes within mainland UK on orders over £25. We use Royal Mail Tracked 48 to provide a fully trackable service.
  • Express delivery is £6.95. We use Royal Mail Tracked 24 for this service.
  • International delivery is £12. We use Royal Mail's Tracked international service.
  • For large bulk orders  additional courier charges will apply. Please contact us for a quote.

We make almost everything in house, so if something needs a little tweak to make it extra personal for your person then just ask. If we can do it we will let you know! There may be a small charge depending on how big the change is.

Yes, we can gift wrap all our notebooks and diaries, and all of our Christmas tree decorations. You can select that option at checkout. We don’t gift wrap our rolled prints, but they do come in beautiful tissue paper. We also can’t wrap our framed prints as they are sent direct from the framer. If you have an extra special request then just get in touch and we’ll see if we can help.

Absolutely. We love helping to surprise your loved ones with a gift in the post! Just pop their name and address in the delivery section at checkout and don’t forget to include a gift message so they know who it’s from. We will make sure they don’t see the price on the paperwork.

Oh, we know this feeling. Express is available on most of our products so you can upgrade to a faster delivery service. The make time for each product is also displayed in the sections above. But if it’s super urgent, you can always drop us an extra email to Catherine@betsybenn.co.uk to let us know. Please note we don’t work or post anything on Fridays.
