How often have you gazed at the stunning beauty of a full moon? From the silver white brilliance of a silver penny moon, to the gentle copper hues of a harvest moon, our celestial companion holds our hearts and has inspired artists and songwriters, astronomers and explorers.
Our unique metallic engravings capture the stunning beauty of the moon, reflecting light much like, well, the Moon!
The image is taken from a photograph of the moon as seen from the UK, showing all the familiar craters and mountains in full textural detail.
You can personalise this moon artwork in two ways. A personal message, such as "you are my moon, Jx" or maybe something as simple as your initials, can be engraved on the surface of the Moon. This will be in teeny tiny print, hidden amongst the craters, so will be like a secret message just to those who go looking for it! Have a look at our close up photo in the images section for an example of just how tiny.
For a more obvious personalisation, we can also engrave one or two words on the mount board underneath the Moon. We chose La Luna, but you could have anything else that works for you.
It's all up to you and how you want your artwork to look.
Your Moon is individually engraved onto a golden, copper or silver metallic surface which is then secured to an acid free black or white mount board.
You can choose to have it unframed or framed in a solid wood black frame.
The finished size of the unframed artwork is A3 sized, approx 297mm x 420mm
The finished size of the framed artwork is 38 x 49 x 2cm
