Is Decemuary a thing? There's the whole "twixtmas" bit between Christmas and New Year where I never know what day it is, but now I'm feeling that the whole of January is just an extension of late December!
Or maybe that's a small bit of wishful thinking as I'm holding on to the last couple of days that feel like holiday.
I'm also looking forward to something that looks like a holiday but is actually work. I'm booked in to visit a trade show in New York in February, assuming it happens cos, you know, Covid. I've written the dates on the planner (in ink) both at home and at the studio so that means it will definitely happen, yes? Ah, who knows. But life has always thrown us curve balls so I'm determined not to stop planning exciting and brilliant things.
Do you have anything amazing lined up this year yet? Drop me a line and let me know.
At the end of last year, we launched a new gallery wall print - Tu Es Sexy. It was one of those ideas that zoomed into my head, driving a bright pink porche, waving a flag that said "Look at me", and dancing the macarena. A lot, right? So we launched it and then didn't really do much with it.
Decemuary seemed the right time to give it a little of the spotlight!
I love the styling treatment here that Dee Campling put together - a great way to show all the colours. Let me know which one is your favourite
I think my heart might break, but the final season of This Is Us has just started on Prime. I watched the first episode of season 6 and spent the rest of the day listening to the playlist on Spotify. Tap the picture to go to the playlist. Have you watched any of the seasons yet? If not, you're in for a treat. Beth is my favourite.
Here's one from the archives that made it from design to finished piece, almost unchanged! Every now and then you get one like that. Our coastline wall hangings were designed to celebrate a special location, obviously on the coast, but layered to create a 3D element allowing your fingers to trace the curves of the beaches and inlets.LOVE.
